Broken sprinkler wets floors at Radisson Hotel in Fargo

FARGO - A broken sprinkler head affected three floors of the Radisson Hotel in downtown Fargo early today.

Firefighters were called to the hotel at 2:04 a.m. for a broken head in the hallway of the 13th floor.

Assistant Fire Chief Larry Schuh said water had soaked carpets on the 13th floor and also seeped down to the 12th and 11th floors through plumbing channels.

Firefighters turned the sprinkler off and used water vacuums and squeegees to help hotel staff clean up the water.

Schuh said it wasn't known why the sprinkler head went off.

Affected guests were moved to other rooms, he said.
