Catholic Daughters Fall Style Show is Saturday in Perham
PERHAM -- Need a good reason to check out the newest styles? The Catholic Daughters have one - raising funds for local and national charities.
For more than 35 years, the Catholic Daughters group of Perham has put together a Fall Style Show.
This year's show will be held at Mulligan's on Saturday, Oct. 27, beginning with brunch at 9:30 a.m. Immediately following brunch will be the style show, silent auction and door prizes.
This year's theme will be 'Santa Clause is Coming to Town.'
All styles on display will be from local merchants, many of which will be participating for the first time.
Court St. Rita, the local Catholic Daughters group, is the third oldest court in Minnesota, with 75 members.
The style show is the group's biggest fundraiser of the year.
Founded in 1903, Catholic Daughters is the largest organization of Catholic women in the Americas.
Emilee Olstad, regent of Court St Rita, said, "Most proceeds go back into the community and different events we do for the community at large."
Court St. Rita donates to the following charities and organizations: Perham Area Food Shelf, Coats for Kids, Faith in Action, Perham Library Endowment Fund, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Smile Train, Support Our Aging Religious, the Valentine's Day party at Perham Living, Catholic Youth Fellowship, Perham Parade of Lights, St. Henry's Area School and Vocation Bible School.
Olstad said since last year's style show was almost full, she encourages early purchase of tickets to guarantee seating.
Tickets are available in advance at Nadine's, or at the door.
