Catholic Daughters to host salad luncheon
For those looking for a quick, but tasty and filling lunch, Holy Rosary Catholic Daughters can help.
The organization is hosting its annual Spring Salad Luncheon this Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Holy Rosary Parish Center.
“We have 60-plus different kinds of salads,” said Linda Schons, regent with the Catholic Daughters. “It’s set up buffet style, and people can just help themselves.”
The Catholic Daughters members whip up the salads themselves, providing enough variety to please anyone’s palate.
“Everybody brings in their favorite kind,” she said.
Cost for the meal is $7, and there will be about eight different raffle items as well, with tickets at $1 each. Some of the raffle items include Chamber Bucks, handmade quilt and afghan, handmade jewelry, a gardening basket and more.
The Catholic Daughters also run the parking booth at the Becker County Fair, changing $2 to park and keeping half the proceeds to donate to charities of their choice.
All of the money they raise, they give back to the community. Some of their charities include hospice, the Becker County Food Pantry, The Refuge and more.
