Sons of Norway is sponsoring a performance by the Sande Blandekor Choir from Sande, Sognefjord, Norway at 8 p.m. in Detroit Lakes' Historic Holmes theatre. The 28-member choir is touring the United States with a repertoire including hymns, Norwegian songs, folk songs, classical songs, modern ballads, Negro spirituals, songs from musicals. Everyone is welcome, and admission is a free-will offering.

Cathie Ryan concert
The Historic Holmes Theatre in Detroit Lakes will present a concert by one of the most popular voices in Celtic music today, Cathie Ryan, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $22 for adults and $11 for students. Williams & Ree
The Indian and the White Guy are back! America's favorite music and comedy duo, Bruce Williams & Terry Ree, have sustained a career over 30 years packing casinos, clubs and arenas from Niagara Falls to Las Vegas with their ever-changing routine. Fire & Ice
The second annual Fire & Ice Experience is set to begin at 6 p.m. in the Fireside Restaurant. Cancer awareness hike
The public is invited to attend a cancer awareness hike sponsored by The Laurentian Lakes Chapter of the North Country Trail Association. The hike will begin at the Anchor Matson trailhead, located on the Anchor Matson Road about 5.5 miles east of Becker County Highway 37 or 7.5 miles west of US Highway 71 on State Highway 113, at 1 p.m. There will be options of a two or three mile hike.
