‘A Christmas Carol’ opens Dec. 5 at Long Lake Theatre
The holiday favorite “A Christmas Carol” returns to Hubbard’s Long Lake Theater this holiday season.
Cast members from Nevis, Menahga and Park Rapids come together on Thursday, Dec. 5 to present 10 performances of the classic tale, concluding on Sunday, Dec. 15.
This year’s family presentation includes a choral music segment under the direction of Brian Hobson, complimentary hot cider and chocolate, and of course, several varieties of Christmas goodies.
“This has always been a popular show for us. I’m really glad we’re bringing it back,” says Bruce Bolton, theater manager. “Every time we produce this show we tend to get a lot of groups and families that want tradition around the holidays.”
“As far as I know, there are only two theaters in the midwest that produce this show on a regular basis, Long Lake Theater in Hubbard and The Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. They do call us from time to time for advice,” says Bolton with a wink.
Tickets are available at Beagle Books, online at www.longlaketheater.com, and by calling 218-732-0099.
Show times are Dec. 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14 at 7:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. matinees on Dec. 7, 8, 14 and 15.
