The Winter Olympics come around every four years and that’s when Minnesotans get to watch some of their own compete on the Olympic ice.

The television coverage generates interest in lesser-known Olympic sports, like curling.

The Lakes Curling Club is offering an Olympic open house Monday, Feb. 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the club on Highway 59 North. Club members will be demonstrating, answering questions and giving guidance on the sport of curling.
