Comedian Gabriel Iglesias coming to Shooting Star
On Friday, May 23, at 8 p.m., comedic genius Gabriel Iglesias will appear for the first time ever at Mahnomen’s Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center.
Tickets to this event are sold out.
Iglesias fell in love with the stage when he started his stand-up comedy career in 1997.
In the early 2000s, the California native decided to try his hand at a television career and became a regular on the Nickelodeon sketch series “All That.”
With his growing popularity, Iglesias went on to tape his first half-hour stand-up special, “Comedy Central Presents,” which was later named the “Half-hour Special of the Year” by Comedy Central viewers.
His success became apparent after his first hour-long stand-up special DVD, “Hot and Fluffy,” went triple platinum.
Iglesias released two more hour-long stand-up specials, “I’m Not Fat, I’m Fluffy,” and “Aloha Fluffy,” before the debut of the “Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution,” series, which premiered on Comedy Central in 2011. The series, which featured Iglesias and an array of other well-known comedians, went on to be one of the highest-rated stand-up series on the network.
Iglesias’ ability to consistently deliver a uniquely hilarious comedy experience and bring witty humor to everyday situations has made him into one of the most popular comedians of his time.
He has sold out performances around the world, including tours in Australian, European and Saudi Arabian tours, and more.
