Community ed in Frazee
Frazee Community education has several upcoming events over the next month.
-July 8, 15, 22 and 29 (Thursdays), 7-9 p.m. -- Beginning Golf (youth to adult) with instructor Les Kertcher at Maple Hills Golf Course. Cost is $25.
-Saturday, July 10, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. -- Babysitting Clinic with instructor Mary Johnson at FHS Commons for youth age 11-15. Cost is $40, which includes Red Cross Certification.
-July 13, 15, 19, 20 and 22 -- Baton Time with instructor Becky Matejka, 10-10:30 a.m. for beginners, 10:30-11 a.m. for intermediate with prior experience, at Frazee Lions Park. Cost is $12 (batons available for $8).
-Friday, July 16, 7-8 a.m. -- Forward Frazee at Eagle Lake Resort and Spa -- all community business members, organizational representatives and residents are welcome, please RSVP, light breakfast provided at no fee (co-sponsored by City of Frazee, Frazee Area Community Club, Frazee Area Action Fund, and Community Education).
-Tuesday, July 27, 1-3 p.m. -- "The Clayground" personalized plaque project at FHS for all ages. Cost is $15.
-Mondays-Fridays through July 27 -- Open Weightroom runs 7-8:30 a.m. with supervisor Pastor Bill Aufdenkamp; no fee or pre-registration.
-Aug. 3-5, 10th Annual VIP Memorial Shorty Wrestling Camp at FHS gyms -- Experienced Wrestlers 6-9 p.m., cost is $35; Beginners (age 5-9) 6-7 p.m., cost is $15; Call Lorri Schermerhorn at 846-1935 to register. Tuesdays-Thursdays from 10:30 a.m.-12 noon through August 5 -- Open Elementary Library with supervisor Linda Kelly; special Storytime Wednesdays 11 a.m.-12 noon; no cost and pre-registration is not required.
-Aug. 9-11 from 6-8 p.m. - Archery Camp (incoming 7th graders to adult) with instructors John Barlund and Scott Starry at FHS Main Gym; cost is $20 and pre-registration is required.
