Constitution Party to host national convention in Phoenix this weekend
The Constitution Party will host a national conference in Phoenix, Ariz. Oct. 23-24 for Constitution Party members and all those interested in a return to limited, Constitutional government.
The fast-growing party is responding to the vast number of Americans seeking an alternative to the "Big Box" political party agenda which has led the United States into debt, unconstitutional wars and bigger and more intrusive government.
Former U.S. Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.) will be the keynote speaker on Friday at 7:00 p.m. local time. Tancredo's remarks are entitled: "Throw the Bums Out!"
Tancredo, a former Republican US Representative and presidential candidate has distinguished himself for his opposition to his party on a number of hot button issues. Tancredo broke with President George H.W. Bush over the president's policies of lax border security and Bush's push for amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Tancredo was called a "traitor" by White House advisor Karl Rove for speaking out against the GOP's immigration agenda. Tancredo has further bucked his party by pushing for lower taxes, the abolition of the IRS and the income tax, as well as the federal Department of Education.
Other confirmed speakers at the Constitution Party Phoenix meeting include New York Times best-selling author Jerome Corsi, Ph.D. Corsi's best sellers include: The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality, and Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry.
