The final presentation of "The Mousetrap" by the new local community theater group, The Summit Avenue Players, will be presented today (Sunday) at 2 p.m. The Holmes Ballroom will be transformed into a gothic dinner theatre for the event. A cash bar and hors d'oeuvres/dessert menu will be available. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students. The Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead will host a Literary and Performing Arts Event & Reception today starting at 1 p.m. Music, dance, drumming, film, readings and theater will be presented in the gallery, filled with visual art about home. The reception will be from 1-5 p.m., with a soup line starting at 1 p.m. and the program starting at 2 p.m. Admission is free, though a donation of a non-perishable food item or personal care product is requested. The Detroit Lakes School Music Department presents a Scholarship Concert at 7 p.m. Monday, March 9 in the George Simpson Middle School Auditorium. Cost of the concert is $5 for adults and $3 for children in grades K-12 or $10 per immediate family. Proceeds from the concert will provide scholarship money to students who are pursuing degrees in music education. Performers include Doc & the Scrubs, Roosevelt 4th Grade Classes, Rossman 5th Grade Choir, Middle School 6th Grade Vocal Ensembles, Laker Singers and the Laker Jazz Band.

A Bethany Lutheran College Band Concert is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Audubon. The Spencers are masters of the new magic theater, and will soon be bringing their "Theatre of Illusion" to Detroit Lakes. The exhibit "Warrior to Citizen: Stories of Minnesota's Most Recent Veterans" continues at the ITOW Veterans Museum in Perham through Sunday, March 15. The oral history exhibit is part of the Warrior to Citizen Campaign, organized by the University of Minnesota Humphrey Institute's Center for Democracy and Citizenship, a grassroots effort to provide enduring support to Minnesota's returning veterans and their families.
