Creedence Clearwater Revisited is a reincarnation of the 1960s Southern and Swamp Rock pioneers, Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Formed in 1995 by original Revival members Stu Cook and Doug Clifford, Creedence Clearwater Revisited performs all the staple hits of the original Revival band, such as "Born on the Bayou," "Fortunate Son," "Lookin' Out My Back Door" and "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?"

In 1997, the band released Recollection, an album composed entirely of remastered Creedence Clearwater Revival songs.

Besides Cook (bass) and Clifford (drums), the group also includes lead singer and rhythm guitarist John Tristao; Steve Gunner, who plays several instru-ments (keyboard, acoustic guitar, percussion and harmonica, as well as singing high harmonies); and their latest addition, lead guitarist Kurt Griffey, who has toured with members of the Eagles, Foreigner, Moody Blues, Wings, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Santana and Journey.

Creedence Clearwater Revival established themselves as one of the premier Southern Rock acts of the 1960s and 1970s.

Overall, the band has released 21 studio and compilation albums, six of which were certified Gold and 10 of which were certified Platinum.

These albums resulted in 29 singles, 15 of which reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and is also ranked #82 on Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
