DETROIT LAKES - The following items were taken from reports at the Becker County Sheriff's Department and Detroit Lakes Police Department.
Friday, April 18
At 7:33 a.m. a woman on the 400 block of Pelican River Road reported that a stray pit bull had growled at her. The owner was located and warned that a citation would be issued if the dog ran loose again.
At 10:37 a.m. a Hawley man reported a theft from his shed on the 12000 block of Tanglewood Road, Audubon. Taken was a new 17-inch Stihl chainsaw.
At 11:55 a.m. an Ogema woman complained that a known man had smashed out the rear window of her vehicle while her 2-year-old was in the back seat. The incident occurred on the 48000 block of 290th Avenue, Ponsford.
At 1:17 p.m. the Detroit Lakes parks department notified the police department that the skate park had been closed for repairs. A sign was posted and officers were asked to remove anyone using the park.
At 1:51 p.m. a Frazee woman reported a 4-year-old child was bitten by a dog at Albertson Trailer Court and transported by private vehicle to Perham.
At 2:04 p.m. a grass fire was reported out of control on the 33000 block of County Road 34, Osage. Firefighters responded and spent 40 minutes on the scene.
At 2:04 p.m. an Audubon woman reported a vehicle fire at a rural Audubon residence. Lake Park firefighters were there for about a half hour.
At 6:23 p.m. a field fire was reported near County Road 34 and 355th Street in Maple Grove Township. Firefighters had it under control, according to the incident report.
At 6:35 p.m. a (possibly abandoned) mobile home was reported on fire in the West Sugar Bush area. Firefighters from White Earth and Callaway were on the scene for about an hour.
At 8:02 p.m. a fight at the Northside bar was reported, with one of the participants seen with a crowbar. Nobody would give information to the officer when he arrived at the scene.
At 8:06 p.m. a serious barn fire was reported on the 18000 block of 220th Street, Audubon. Firefighters from Detroit Lakes, Audubon, Lake Park and Audubon rescue were on the scene for about 90 minutes.
At 9:56 p.m. Lakeside bar reported two minors with fake IDs. They left before police arrived. Officers gathered party-goers back into their Hummer limo and sent them on their way to Ogema.
At 10:05 p.m. a grass fire was reported across from the post office in White Earth. It was quickly extinguished.
At about 11 p.m. three different people called to report a fight at the Northside bar. Two men were arrested, one for disorderly conduct and one for minor consuming alcohol.
Saturday, April 19
At 12:15 a.m. a grass fire was reported near White Earth. A law enforcement officer was on the scene for about 30 minutes.
At 12:44 a.m. the barn fire near Audubon flared up again. Audubon firefighters were on the scene for about an hour.
At 2:21 a.m. a fight was reported outside the sandbar.
At 4:34 a.m. a mobile home fire was reported on the 39000 block of County Road 34. White Earth firefighters were there for more than an hour.
At 8:10 a.m. a wallet was found at Central Market and returned to its owner. It contained $320 in cash.
At noon three bicycles were reported stolen from a home on the 20000 block of Kennedy Acres, Detroit Lakes.
At 12:13 p.m. a Fargo man reported vandalism at his property on the 15000 block of 150th Avenue, Lake Park. Someone ripped down a "no trespassing" sign, kicked out leveling jacks under a trailer and did other damage.
At 12:28 p.m. a White Earth woman reported that someone had entered her shed and stolen a number of items.
At 12:37 p.m. a three-car accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 10 and Summit Avenue.
A 2005 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Jeanette Marie Rudebeck, 62, of Perham, was traveling eastbound on Highway 10 when it rear-ended another vehicle, which rear-ended the car in front of it, according to the accident report.
The second vehicle was a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Joshua Jay Kilde, 25, of Detroit Lakes.
The third vehicle was a 1999 Oldsmobile sedan driven by Alyssa Dawn Bray, 21, of Waubun.
Rudebeck complained of chest and foot pain, but declined to take an ambulance to the hospital.
At 12:39 p.m. two shed break-ins were reported on the 13000 block of Halverson Beach Road in Cormorant Township.
At 7:53 p.m. a grass fire was reported a mile north of County Road 21. It was easily extinguished.
At 8:43 p.m. a man was arrested for shooting a .22 caliber weapon in the vicinity of the Congregate Housing and Old Projects in White Earth.
Sunday, April 20
At 7:29 a.m. an Audubon woman on the 700 block of Fifth Street reported an attempted break-in overnight.
At 12:06 p.m. a Park Rapids man reported his travel trailer and garage had been forcibly entered on the 25000 block of County Road 39. His neighbor's trailer had also been entered, he said.
At 2:49 p.m. a 1977 14-foot by 60-foot Marshal mobile home was reported burned down in West Sugar Bush Township.
At 5:29 p.m. owners reported that a shed on the 14000 block of SE Turtle Lake Road had been forcibly entered twice in the past few months, with an air compressor and a box of tools taken.
Monday, April 21
At 5:18 a.m. a Detroit Lakes man reported a grass fire a half-mile south of White Earth on County Road 21. Firefighters were on the scene about 30 minutes.
At 8:52 a.m. a man on the 29000 block of County Road 54 reported that a neighbor had pulled out survey stakes on his property, shot eight bullets into his gate and threatened him.
