Crime & Accidents
The following items were taken from reports at the Detroit Lakes Police Department and Becker County Sheriff's Department.
Tuesday, Feb. 2
At 11:49 a.m., a Video Action employee reported an attempted break-in by someone using a screwdriver on the lock. The screwdriver broke in the lock.
At 1:42 p.m., a 49-year-old Detroit Lakes female reported a vehicle on fire on the 22000 block of Height of Land Drive. The Frazee Fire Department was on the scene for approximately 45 minutes.
At 4:49 p.m., an employee at Frazee High School reported the theft of several items.
Wednesday, Feb. 3
At 11:56 a.m., a 40-year-old male was cited for shoplifting at Norby's Department Store.
At 3:33 p.m., a 54-year-old female living in Congregate Housing in White Earth reported that a male threatened to kill and rape her.
Thursday, Feb. 4
At 11:09 a.m., someone reported that a rental car was hit by another vehicle at the 59er Store and Motel on Highway 59.
At 12:42 p.m., a trailer hour fire on the 29000 block of County Road 48 in Osage was reported. No one was in the home and Carson Ville Fire and Rescue was on the scene for 15 minutes.
At 1:06 p.m., a 25-year-old female was cited for shoplifting at Walmart.
At 3:59 p.m., a hit-and-run accident was reported on the Highway 10 frontage road near Kmart. There were no injuries reported.
A 45-year-old Minneapolis female was arrested approximately an hour later for fleeing the scene and on a Itasca County warrant.
