• At 5:40 p.m. a Ponsford woman reported her 11-year-old niece had been beaten up by three girls in the new projects area.

Wednesday, April 21

• At 7:28 a.m. a Waubun woman reported a burglary at the Elbow Lake Community Center. A window screen was cut to gain entrance.

• At 12:30 p.m. a rural Lake Park man reported the theft of a 2004 Johnson 50 horsepower four-stroke boat motor, valued at about $4,000. It was taken over the winter months.

• At 6:10 p.m. an Ogema man reported a fire in a grove of trees on the 35000 block of County Road 159 in Spring Creek Township. Ogema firefighters were on the scene for about 30 minutes.

• At 6:20 p.m. a Ponsford woman reported her 9-year-old son was assaulted in the Pine Point projects.

• At 8:07 p.m. a grass fire was reported in Cuba Township near county roads 9 and 12. Lake Park firefighters were on the scene about 15 minutes.

• At 8:46 p.m. a Callaway man reported a power pole was on fire at the site of the grass fire in Spring Creek Township.

Thursday, April 22

• At 12:43 p.m. a person at Audubon Auto reported a grass fire on the southeast side of the lake in Audubon. The fire department was there for about 20 minutes.

Friday, April 23

• At 5:30 p.m. a Detroit Lakes woman reported losing a money holder while pumping gas at the Orton's in Audubon. Someone later that day used her credit card to buy gas at Murphy's gas station outside Walmart.

• At 8:30 p.m. an Audubon woman reported the theft of a Nintendo Wii game system and fur coat with a total value of about $500.

Saturday, April 24

• As part of an annual spring sweep, a half-dozen vehicles parked at homes in Detroit Lakes were identified by police as having expired registration tags or being unlicensed. The owners were notified they had two weeks to take care of the problem or be in violation of a city ordinance that requires all vehicles in city limits to be licensed and operable.

• At 11:28 a.m. a rural Detroit Lakes man reported the theft by an employee of a Kenworth semi. It was later recovered in Tombstone, Ariz.

• At 1:08 p.m. a Moorhead man reported a garage break-in in Eagle Lake Township. An air compressor was taken.

• At 3:45 p.m. a Detroit Lakes boy reported the theft of his unlocked Hurley BMX-style bicycle from outside the Washington Square Mall.

• At 9:38 p.m. a report was received of a vehicle lit on fire in Ponsford. Carsonville firefighters were on the scene for about 30 minutes.

Monday, April 26

• At 7:24 a.m. a break-in was reported at the Pine Point clubhouse.

• At 11:47 a.m. a Detroit Lakes man turned in a shotgun to the sheriff's department after finding it in a ditch on the 18000 block of Old Pit Road.

• At 4:42 p.m. a Ulen woman reported an assault that occurred in White Earth three days earlier.

• At 8:41 p.m. a tractor fire was reported on the Aho dairy farm in Wolf Lake Township. Wolf Lake firefighters were on the scene about 25 minutes.

• At 9:06 p.m. a load of wood was dumped on the roadway at the junction of highways 10 and 59.

Tuesday, April 27

• At 6:21 a.m. a Detroit Lakes man reported the theft of a 1990 Suburban from the 21000 block of County Road 37.
