The following items were taken from reports at the Becker County Sheriff's Department and Detroit Lakes Police Department:

•At 9:59 a.m. an Audubon woman reported spray paint vandalism to her vehicle overnight.

• At 4:12 p.m. a hay shed was reported on fire on the 57000 block of County Road 44 in Two Inlets Township. Carsonville firefighters were on the scene for about an hour.

• At 6:28 p.m. a cornfield was reported on fire in Hamden Township at County Road 12 one mile east of County Road 9. Lake Park and DNR firefighters were on the scene for a few minutes.

Thursday, Oct. 6

• At 3:08 a.m. a grass fire was reported near the old projects on Waboose Drive in Pine Point. Carsonville firefighters were there for about 30 minutes.

• At 3:36 a.m. a resident on the 22000 block of Black Duck Trail in White Earth reported a smoky smell in the house. White Earth firefighters were there for about 7 minutes.

• At 4:10 p.m. a grass fire was reported near Amik Avenue in Pine Point. The DNR handled it.

• At 6:26 p.m. a man on the 700 block of North Shore Drive reported a motorboat spinning on Big Detroit Lake, unoccupied. A 16-year-old that was operating the boat fell into the water, but was not harmed. The boat was retrieved by authorities.

• At 7:44 p.m. a grass fire was reported on the 24000 block of Steffl Road in Callaway Township. Firefighters from Callaway and the DNR were on the scene for about an hour.

• At 9:09 p.m. a power pole was reported on fire in Detroit Lakes after a transformer blew out on the 400 block of Knollcrest. DL firefighters were there for about 5 minutes.

Friday, Oct. 7

• At 10:35 a.m. a woman reported her black leather purse had been stolen or lost at the Palace Café in Frazee on Sept. 30.

• At 8:30 p.m. a suspicious call was reported by United Methodist Church from an out-of-state man who claimed his mother was a church member years ago and now he needed financial help. It was determined to be an attempted scam.

Tuesday, Oct. 11

• At 3:15 p.m. a woman on the 1000 block of McKinley Avenue reported her 2000 Nissan Maxima had been scratched with a sharp object along the driver's side.

Wednesday, Oct. 12

• At 9:32 a.m. mailbox vandalism was reported in the Cormorant area.

• At 3:32 p.m. a rural Frazee resident reported an attempted break-in on the 33000 block of Wannigan Road. A screen door was damaged.

• At 10:50 p.m. a woman reported vehicle vandalism in Peoples Park -- a friend kicked her car and broke a mirror.

• At 11:17 p.m. a Frazee woman reported being sexually assaulted at her residence.

Thursday, Oct. 13

• At 1:53 a.m. a woman on the 200 block of Barbara Avenue reported vehicle vandalism. There is a suspect in the case.

• At 7:35 p.m. a small motorcycle was found behind the Frazee All-in-All store. Two kids were messing around with it.

• At 8:10 p.m. a 23-year-old man reported finding a Browning compound bow with a hard case and blaze camo vest next to a garbage can on Sandra K. Road.

Friday, Oct. 14

• At 10:10 a.m. a domestic altercation was reported on the 1500 block of East Shore Drive.

• At 10:34 a.m. a theft from an unlocked vehicle was reported on the 1100 block of Willow Street. A man reported that $500 in $100 bills was missing from a wallet under the seat. Another $200 had been left in the wallet, he said.

• At 4:19 p.m. Lake Park firefighters responded to a grass fire on Estate Drive. They were on the scene about half an hour.

• At 6:14 p.m. police received a report of a 1-year-old child choking at a residence on the 1200 block of Richwood Road. Police assisted EMS responders. The child was OK.

• At 9:57 p.m. vandalism was reported at the Frazee-Vergas high school.

Saturday, Oct. 15

• At 12:20 a.m. police received a loud music complaint about Zorbaz. The music was turned down.

• At 12:09 p.m. a resident on the 27000 block of 245th Avenue in Richwood Township reported a mailbox had been "shot up" overnight.

• At 1:53 p.m. a grass fire was reported on the 19000 block of County Road 39 in Toad Lake Township. Firefighters from Wolf Lake and the DNR were on the scene about 20 minutes.

• At 2:13 p.m. a fire was reported on the 35000 block of Highway 87 about 3.5 miles east of Frazee. A mobile home and a shed were destroyed by fire, apparently after leaf-burning got out of control in gusty winds.

Another mobile home -- the primary residence -- on the other side of the shed sustained minor damage. Nobody was hurt. Firefighters from Frazee, Wolf Lake and the DNR were there for about two hours.

• At 6:42 p.m. a woman at the Acorn Lake mobile home park reported that a neighbor had broken a window on her friend's vehicle.

• At 11:18 p.m. a tree was reported lying on a power line and on fire off County Road 110, a half mile east of County Road 21. White Earth firefighters were there for about an hour.

• At 11:53 p.m. a domestic altercation was reported on the 1100 block of Woodrow Avenue.

Sunday, Oct. 16

• At 10:17 a.m. several residents of the Lamplighter apartments reported an attempted phone scam, with the caller trying to get bank account information.

• At 11:50 a.m. a man on the 1300 block of Bayridge Drive reported the loss or theft of a compound bow out of a boat he was towing. The only stop he made was at the Holiday station. The BowTech Admiral compound bow was in a black hard case and was valued at $1,000, he said.

• At 1:46 p.m. the emergency room at the Park Rapids hospital reported treating a woman for hip and back pain after she crashed her vehicle into a ditch in the vicinity of Becker County Road 123 or County Road 125. The woman's name was not available.

• At 3:22 p.m. a brush fire was reported near the south end of Callaway by the Canadian Pacific railroad tracks. Callaway firefighters were there for about an hour.

• At 3:59 p.m. one person was injured and went to Essentia St. Mary's Hospital after a car accident on the 34000 block of 336th Avenue in Maple Grove Township. No details were available.

• At 4:58 p.m. Detroit Lakes and DNR firefighters responded to a report of a wild fire in the woods in the vicinity of West Pickerel Lake Road in Erie Township. They were on the scene for several hours.

• At 6:57 p.m. a grass fire in the ditch was reported on the southeast corner of Island Lake. Firefighters from Carsonville and the DNR were on the scene for about 45 minutes.

Monday, Oct. 17

• At 11:36 a.m. a burglary was reported at a storage unit in Lake Park. Taken were two flat-screen TV sets and two sets of golf clubs.

• At 9:21 p.m. a grass fire was reported near the Pine Point Community Center. Firefighters from Carsonville and the DNR were there for about 20 minutes.

• At 2:56 p.m. an accident with injuries was reported in Detroit Lakes. No details were available.
