• At 8:50 a.m. a 16-foot open trailer was reported stolen from the 1100 block of Eighth Street S.E.

• At 10:33 a.m. animal control in Detroit Lakes reported residents on the 1300 block of Lake Avenue with five dogs and two cats, with only one dog licensed. Residents there will no longer open the door to animal control workers, they reported.

Wednesday, Aug. 1

• At 2:33 a.m. a red 1997 Chevrolet Camaro stolen from Zorbaz was found overturned in a ditch at West Lake Sallie and Fox Lake Road.

• At 8:15 a.m. a woman on the 21000 block of County Road 21 reported ongoing problems with gas being siphoned from her vehicle.

• At 10:33 p.m. an assault was reported at Viking campground at WE Fest.

Thursday, Aug. 2

• At 7:07 a.m. an assault was reported at a Frazee mobile home park. A 30-year-old woman was arrested there on an Anoka County warrant.

• At 7:09 a.m. a camper was reported on fire at Lake Sallie campground. Detroit Lakes firefighters were there for about 45 minutes.

• At 9:26 a.m. the theft of a portable generator was reported at Hilltop campground.

• At 9:37 a.m. the theft of a black backpack, wallet and cash was reported at Viking campground.

• At 4:28 p.m. a Fargo man reported the theft of items from Viking campground.

• At 4:54 p.m. a man reported that a woman had been assaulted at Oatfield campground at WE Fest.

• At 5:40 p.m. a one-vehicle rollover with injuries was reported on County Road 1 near County Road 4. White Earth police handled the accident.

• At 6:32 p.m. assault and property damage was reported at Viking campground.

• At 8:36 p.m. a woman was assaulted by a man at Eagle campground.

• At 9:46 p.m. an assault was reported by the WE Fest medical headquarters.

• At 10:05 p.m. a 21-year-old man with head injuries was reported by WE Fest medical staff.

• At 10:38 p.m. a one-vehicle rollover was reported on 130th St. west of Maple Hills.

• At 11:10 p.m. a camper break-in was reported at Valley campground.

Friday, Aug. 3

• At 12:51 a.m. two incidents of property damage were reported at Viking campground.

• At 1:49 a.m. a lost or missing woman was reported at Viking campground. She was located.

• At 8:31 a.m. a vehicle was heavily scratched with a metal object on the 100 block of West Ash in Frazee.

• At 8:31 a.m. at least eight vehicles were towed from the Walmart parking lot after being left there by people attending WE Fest.

• At 11:23 a.m. Menards reported a man in his early 30s carrying a length of copper tubing and also an unsheathed knife. Police asked him to put the knife in his sister's purse until he was out of the store.

• At 11:35 a.m. theft and trespass was reported at Viking campground.

• At 11:18 p.m. a stop sign was found in a slough in south Height of Land Township.

• At 1:04 p.m. a sexual assault was reported at WE Fest.

• At 3:18 p.m. a Detroit Lakes woman reported the theft of $20 and a driver's license in an envelope taken from a camper at VIP campgrounds.

• At 5:17 p.m. an attempt was made to locate a man last seen at Eagle campground.

• At 5:15 p.m. vehicle tampering was reported at Hilltop campground,

• At 5:36 p.m. a wallet was found in a urinal at WE Fest. It was taken to the command post.

• At 7:06 p.m. an assault was reported at Eagle campground.

• At 6:14 p.m. a 30-year-old man was reported pinned between a truck and an ATV on the west side of WE Fest. No additional information was available.

• At 5:50 p.m. Dinomart reported a suspicious man looking into parked cars in the area. Police officers chased him off and he said he would not come back.

But two hours later he was arrested in the same area after being seen rummaging through vehicles. The 38-year-old man was spotted hiding between vehicles. He first ran from the police, and then fought with the officer that caught up with him and arrested him. He was charged with obstructing the legal process and fleeing on foot.

• At 7:43 p.m. an assault was reported in Lake Park.

• At 8:36 p.m. an assault was reported at Viking campgrounds.

• At 8:30 p.m. a downed tree was reportedly blocking a road in the Lake Sallie campground.

• At 8:43 p.m. a tree was reported across the road in the Lake Maud area.

• At 8:43 p.m. an electrical transponder blew out near Long Bridge and set a tree on fire.

• At 9:05 p.m. a tree was on fire on the 25000 block of County Road 39.

• At 9:13 p.m. an assault was reported behind the WE Fest main stage.

• At 9:21 p.m. a lost or missing 6-year-old was reported in the Northwoods campground. There was no missing child and a woman there was cited for disorderly conduct.

• At 9:33 an assault was reported at the VIP campground.

• At 9:47 p.m. a burglary was reported in Pine Point.

• At 10:06 p.m. an assault was reported at Eagle campground.

• At 11:01 p.m. a possible assault was reported at Woodchuck campground.

• At 11:23 p.m. fight was reported at Blue Ox campground.

• At 11:23 p.m. a sexual assault was reported at Northwoods campground.

• At 11:39 p.m. an assaulted was reported at the West Gate.

• At 11:58 p.m. a possible burglary was reported on the 49000 block of County Road 6 in Wolf Lake Township. Two doors in the residence were found open when a woman came home from work.

Saturday, Aug. 4

• At 12:37 a.m. an assault was reported at Northwoods campground.

• At 1:55 a.m. a WE Fest medical crew treated a man who cut his head after running into a camper.

• At 2:10 a.m. a man punched a horse at WE Fest.

• At 3:37 a.m. WE Fest medical crew treated a man suffering from psychiatric problems.

• At 9:58 a.m. mailbox vandalism was reported on the 17000 block of 305th Avenue in Erie Township.

• At 12:36 p.m. an accident with possible injuries was reported at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Highway 34.

• At 2:14 p.m. theft from a vehicle was reported at Eagle campground.

• At 3:46 p.m. a 4-year-old was responsible for a vehicle driving into a deck attached to a house on the 36000 block of Lynx Lane in White Earth.

Nobody was injured and the homeowners did not want to pursue the matter because of the child's age. Tribal police are handling the case.

• At 3:57 p.m. an early-morning sexual assault was reported at Northwoods campground.

• At 5:08 p.m. a WE Fest medical crew treated a man with a bloody face who fell on a sharp object at Viking campground.

• At 5:46 p.m. an assault was reported at Hilltop campground.

• At 6:43 p.m. a WE Fest medical crew treated a 20-year-old woman with a possible spleen injury.

• At 6:43 p.m. a woman in the Cormorant area reported her 8-year-old son has broken his collarbone in an ATV accident.

• At 8:27 p.m. a possible sexual assault was reported at Viking campground.

• At 10:48 p.m. a man reported he had been assaulted by a stranger in the concert bowl at WE Fest.

• At 11:57 p.m. security workers at Eagle campground reporting someone was throwing full cans of beer at people in the security area.

Sunday, Aug. 5

• At 12:37 a.m. a person south of Cormorant Lake reported an unusual orange light that went into the sky and faded slowly, apparently over Pelican Lake.

• At 1:40 a.m. someone set an unoccupied tent on fire at Northwoods campground.

• At 1:54 a.m. campers at Lake Sallie campground reported that partiers were throwing other people's stuff, including coolers and lawn chairs, onto a large bonfire

• At 5:45 a.m. a resident on the 35000 block of County Road 133 near White Earth village reported a woman showed up at their house and said she had been assaulted. She was taken to Essentia St. Mary's hospital by ambulance.

• At 9:17 a.m. a Sleepy Eye, Minn., man at Blue Ox campground reported the theft of a backpack containing a passport and other items.

• At 11:42 a.m. a woman at WE Fest reported a large spool used to hold wire rolled had into her car. A man had been trying to take the spool home and it got away from him.

• At 12:37 p.m. the theft of an iPhone, camera and cash were reported at Hilltop campground.

• At 1:38 p.m. an assault was reported at Eagle campground that cost a St. Cloud man two of his teeth.

• At 7:31 p.m. a man on the 100 block of Meadow Lane reported the theft of a Minn Kota trolling motor from his boat sometime over the past month.

Monday, Aug. 6

• At 11:31 a.m. the theft of a Huffy 18-speed mountain bike was reported from the 1100 block of West Avenue.

• At 3:46 p.m. a resident of Park Manor reported a candidate for local office was campaigning door to door, ignoring the "no solicitation" sign, refusing to leave and upsetting some residents.

• At 3:49 p.m. the theft of tools, batteries and equipment was reported from a residence on Anderson Road in Detroit Township.

• At 5:10 p.m. police issued a warning to the owner of two dogs that had been locked in a car in the parking lot of CVS Pharmacy. The 33-year-old woman who owned the dogs said she didn't know it was a problem to leave dogs in a car on a hot day, but said she does now.

Tuesday, Aug. 7

• At 11:41 a.m. an ambulance was called to the Downtown Crossing area after a pickup truck hit a pedestrian near Jimmy John's restaurant.

• At 1:24 p.m. a combine was on fire in Evergreen Township off Highway 87. Firefighters from Wolf Lake and Frazee were still on the scene 45 minutes after the call came in.
