Crime and Accidents
The following items were taken from reports at the Detroit Lakes Police Department and Becker County Sheriff's Office.
Wednesday, Nov. 21
At 12:48 a.m. at 2:30 p.m. police were called to assist with a patient at the emergency department at Essentia St. Mary's Hospital.
Thursday, Nov. 22
At 2:29 a.m. a fight was reported outside a residence on the 500 block of East Union Street.
Friday, Nov. 23
At 7:30 a.m. a garage break-in was reported on the 25000 block of Brandy Lake Road. Taken was a 60-inch TV set.
At 1:32 p.m. a lake cabin burglary was reported on the 34000 block of Cedar Lake Road in Savannah Township. The cabin was broken into three weeks ago and again recently. A trail camera was taken and a TV set was broken.
At 2:17 p.m. a cabin break-in was reported sometime over the past week on the 19000 block of Church Drive in Cormorant Township. Beer was taken.
At 5:44 p.m. a residential burglary was reported on the 21000 block of County Road 32 in Erie Township. A 46-inch TV set was taken.
At 9:52 p.m. a rollover was reported on South Shell Lake Road. Two people were in the vehicle and one suffered very minor injuries. No ambulance was requested.
Saturday, Nov. 24
At 7:22 a.m. a red sports utility vehicle was found on its side and abandoned on 350th Avenue in Erie Township.
At 11:42 a.m. the theft of a cell phone was reported from a vehicle at the Audubon mobile home park. The caller said a friend had the phone and wouldn't give it back.
Sunday, Nov. 25
At 1:49 a.m. a domestic assault was reported on Town Avenue in Lake Park. The victim was treated in the emergency room in Detroit Lakes.
At 9:23 a.m. a man reported he was assaulted by another man outside Casey's convenience store. The two knew each other.
At 10:12 a.m. the theft of an Xbox 360 video game player was reported from a home on the 1200 block of Loring Avenue.
At 12:13 p.m. a one-vehicle rollover was reported on North Pearl Lake Road. No injuries were reported.
At 12:51 p.m. a McDonald's employee reported that he had been threatened by a person with a knife. It turned out to be a family dispute and no actual threats were made.
At 2:45 p.m. a trailer was reported stolen from a storage shed at Land and Lake Storage on 290th Avenue. The trailer has aluminum side boxes and a pair of ramps that side underneath.
Monday, Nov. 26
At 7:10 a.m. the theft of a jacket was reported by a BTD employee. The yellow and black Castle jacket was taken from work and had the man's passport in one pocket.
At 7:42 p.m. a theft from a motor vehicle was reported on the 900 block of West Willow Street. Items were taken from a vehicle parked in the driveway Saturday night.
Tuesday, Nov. 27
At 8:09 a.m. a shed break-in was reported on the 500 block of Summit Avenue. Wire and possibly other items were taken from the shed.
Wednesday, Nov. 28
At 2:17 p.m. a male reported that another male threatened him with a knife at Quiznos. The two knew each other.
