Crime and accidents for April 4 -7
The following items were taken from reports at the Becker County Sheriff's Department and Detroit Lakes Police Department:
Saturday, April 4
At 4:35 a.m. a Frazee woman reported problems at a party in Ogema -- roads were blocked with cars and people were not able to leave. Four citations were issued for minors consuming alcohol.
At 8 a.m. a rural Detroit Lakes woman reported her niece, who is a vulnerable adult, had been sexually assaulted.
At 11:17 a.m. a man on the 1100 block of Campbell Avenue reported that someone tried to break into his shop overnight. There were dents in the door and gouges on the door frame. It is an ongoing problem and there is a suspect in the case.
At 12:17 p.m. a Lake Park woman reported the theft of tabs from her vehicle's license plates.
At 4:42 p.m. an employee at Subway reported finding a small black purse containing $214 cash, credit cards and other items.
At 8 p.m. an Audubon woman reported a man at her apartment had broken a clock and left in her Ford pickup truck.
Sunday, April 5
At 3:40 a.m. a Ponsford woman reported a male had hit her with a bottle at the New Projects in Pine Point. Police and ambulance workers were on the scene for about 30 minutes.
At 3:58 p.m. St. Joseph's Hospital in Park Rapids reported a Pine Point woman was in the hospital after being assaulted by two women.
Tuesday, April 7
At 12:47 a.m. Detroit Lakes firefighters were called to Curley's bar because of a propane gas smell. They shut off the gas.
At 8:12 a.m. a Waubun woman reported a stolen 2007 Ford Explorer.
At 11:27 a.m. a Rochert man reported his mother had broken a window out of his house and was stealing electricity from him by using an extension cord.
