The Beat Goes on series hosted by Lake Agassiz Regional Library will continue this coming week with a series of appearances by master accordionist Dan "Daddy Squeeze" Newton.

He will perform at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 in the Detroit Lakes Public Library.

Newton, who describes his performances as "music out of context" or "ethno-clectic" bop, enjoys mixing up styles and genres that don't generally seem compatible -- such as Celtic, Tex-Mex, Creole, blues and more.

The Beat Goes On series is all about digging deeper to find the truly meaningful Minnesota stories and experiences and sharing them with each other.

Come celebrate the many talents of our fellow Minnesotans in art, literature, and music this fall!

The Detroit Lakes Public Library is located at 1000 Washington Ave. For more information, call 218-847-2168.
