Daggett elected MBA Chair in Minnesota
The Minnesota Bankers Association recently elected Steve Daggett, President of Midwest Bank in Detroit Lakes, as the 2014-15 MBA Chair.
Daggett, a native of Frazee, joined Farmers State Bank of Waubun (which later became Midwest Bank through a name change) in 1996 and became president of the bank in 1997.
He was named one of Northwestern Financial Review’s Rising Stars in 2003.
Daggett serves as a board member of the Detroit Lakes Community and Cultural Center, a board member of the Detroit Mountain Recreation Area, as well as being an active member of the Rotary.
Elected officers serve as members of the MBA Board of Directors, which is the policymaking and governing body for the MBA.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Steve as our chair and know he will provide our organization with great leadership,” said Joe Witt, President/CEO of the Minnesota Bankers Association. “We have an extremely talented and dedicated group of board members poised to serve us, led by Steve, for the upcoming year.”
The Minnesota Bankers Association is the state’s largest trade association devoted exclusively to the representation of commercial banks. The MBA was founded in 1889 and represents 95 percent of Minnesota’s chartered banks.
