Dangerous wind chills expected to last until Monday
FARGO - A wind chill advisory will remain in effect throughout the Red River Valley until noon Monday.
The revised advisory from the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, N.D., said the region will see "dangerous wind chills of 25 to 40-below zero" through Monday morning.
Previously, the advisory had been set to expire by 6 p.m. today.
The weather service said the combination of "very cold air and winds" will result in frostbite and hypothermia if those going outside don't dress appropriately.
Officials warned that anyone going outside should wear a hat and gloves.
