Her married Pamela Ohman in December of 1966 in Lockport, Ill., where he began working for Caterpillar Tractor Company, Inc., as a welder. The couple was blessed with two children, David Greminger Jr. and Dawn Greminger.

In July 1989 David married Ingrid Gronau in Joliet, Ill. They were blessed with one son, John Greminger. In 1997, David retired from Caterpillar after 30 years of service. He loved 1950s and '60s pop music as well as country, and he was a drummer in his younger years in several bands. He was also a devoted Catholic.
