Delbert S. Schultz, 71, of rural Frazee, MN died Monday, April 21, 2008 at his home near Frazee.
Delbert Stanley Schultz was born to Joseph and Mary (Ornie) Schultz on June 29, 1936 in Wolf Lake Township. He entered the United States Air Force on Nov. 30, 1953, and was honorably discharged on April 9, 1955. On March 31, 1960 he married Darlene Raich near Wolf Lake. He worked as a miner in Hibbing, Minn., Gary, Ind., and Duluth, Minn., before moving to Toad Lake Township (Crown Point) near Frazee in 1970. He started farming in 1970, which he continued to do until the time of his death.
Delbert enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to the casino. He enjoyed traveling, visiting with friends but most importantly spending time with his family.
Delbert will be remembered and missed by his four sons. Floyd (Cheryl) Schultz of Osage, Michael Schultz of Detroit Lakes, Ronald (Vickie) Schultz of Frazee and David Schultz of Mahnomen; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, JoAnn (Charles) Caye of Helena, Mont.; and one brother, Edmond Schultz of Sedona, Ariz.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Darlene; two brothers, Alvin and Raymond; and one sister, Darlene.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, April 28 at the David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes; there will be visitation at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
