Dennis Norman Siekas was born to Norman and Marian (Eggleston) Siekas on March 16, 1943 in Detroit, Mich. In 1950, they moved to Detroit Lakes. Dennis attended school and graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1961. He furthered his education by attending vocational school.
On August 5, 1970, Dennis was united in marriage to Ranae Bien in Detroit Lakes. His last job was working as a chef for Shooting Star Casino, a job he thoroughly enjoyed.
Dennis retired in 1998 due to complications with his health. He enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved to hunt, fish, cook for family gatherings and watch his westerns on TV, but most importantly, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored.
Dennis will be remembered and missed by his children, Wade (Aida) Paulson of Superior, Wis., Holly (Roger) Lester of Burnsville, Minn., April (Peter) Bakke of Boyceville, Wis., and Troy (Sherri) Siekas of Watertown, Minn. He is also survived by his 10 precious grandchildren; his mother, Marian Siekas of Detroit Lakes; two brothers, Mike (LuAnn) Siekas of Crookston and David (Sharon) Siekas of Brainerd; and one sister, Gayle (Mike) Damlo of Detroit Lakes.
His father, Norman, preceded him in death.
