Destiny to play Shoreham
Destiny is a southern gospel quartet based in Fargo, performing mostly southern gospel style music with a twist of country.
The group will be performing Sunday, Aug. 24, at 10:45 a.m. in Shoreham Chapel.
The quartet's roots go back to the mid-1960s, with a hint of Gaither style music like The Cathedrals or the Statler Brothers. The music varies from slow serious through provoking songs to fun and upbeat.
Destiny has performed throughout North Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa in churches, school auditoriums, fairs and benefits. Destiny has traveled over 500 miles from Fargo to do some weekend concerts.
In March of 2007, the quartet performed for the North Dakota Governor's Prayer Breakfast in Bismarck, N.D., and in March of this year, sang for the North Dakota's First Lady's Prayer Breakfast in Fargo.
This will be the fifth time the quartet has performed at Shoreham Chapel.
