Detroit Lakes Chamber president injured in zip-line fall
Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce President Kris Tovson was listed in stable condition Friday afternoon at St. Mary's Innovis hospital in Detroit Lakes.
She reportedly was injured when she fell off a zip-line at the Cris Valdez residence on the 15000 block of Elm Drive, Detroit Lakes.
A zip-line consists of a pulley suspended on a cable mounted on an incline. It's designed to let a person ride to the bottom by holding on to the pulley.
Tovson reportedly lost her grip on the pulley and fell to the ground, a drop of about 15 feet, breaking several bones.
