Detroit Lakes man sentenced for possession of firearm
Clayton Clifford Craft, 29, of 1505 Gary Ave., Detroit Lakes has been sentenced for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a felony.
According to court records:
On Jan. 17 Detroit Lakes police were informed that Craft had borrowed an 8 mm bolt-action Mauser rifle to go hunting.
He hunted with two others on the first week of deer season in 2007.
He was convicted of felony third-degree burglary in 2000 and cannot legally hunt with a firearm.
He appeared Dec. 18 before Becker County District Judge Peter Irvine, who sentenced him to 20 days in jail.
