Holding a sizable edge in shots on goal, the Detroit Lakes boys' hockey team made most of their opportunities with a 7-1 trouncing of visiting Bagley/Fosston Tuesday evening inside Kent Freeman Arena.

Controlling the puck for the majority of the time in all three periods and outshooting the visitors by a 46-17 margin, the Lakers (8-12-1) held the Flyers (7-13-1) to single digit shots in each frame on sophomore goalie MacKenzie Steele, who was fully up to the task.
