DL Chamber, WE Fest once again team up to offer shuttle service
The Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce will team with WE Fest to provide shuttle bus service to the Soo Pass Ranch during the three-day country music festival Thursday through Saturday.
The shuttle buses run a continuous loop to the West Gate at the WE Fest grounds, off Highway 59.
WE Fest gates open at 2 p.m. daily. To use the shuttle, simply park your vehicle for free at the Becker County Fairgrounds or the lower level parking lot on the west side of Washington Square Mall, purchase a pass, and ride the shuttle bus to the West Gate at WE Fest.
The buses run continuously from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. each day to minimize waiting. Unlimited rides to and from WE Fest grounds are available with a day pass.
Here’s the shuttle route: Becker County Fairgrounds (located two blocks from the beach at 1310 Rossman Avenue) to downtown at Norby’s Department Store (located at 823 Washington Avenue) to the WE Fest west gate, and back to the fairgrounds.
Purchase passes with cash. A one-day pass is $7, a three-day wristband is $15. Just show your pass or wristband each time you board the shuttle bus. Campers ride the shuttle free each day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a valid WE Fest campground wristband.
When you take the shuttle from the fairgrounds or downtown Detroit Lakes to WE Fest West Gate, the campground shuttle is located down the hill at West Gate.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, you can get shuttle bus tickets at the fairgrounds booth from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Or get them at Norby’s from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. You can also get WE Fest tickets and wristbands at the fairgrounds booth, while supplies last, only with cash.
Park overnight for free in the lower level lot of Washington Square Mall (across the street and north of Wells Fargo Bank, on the corner of Minnesota Avenue and Holmes Street), with a limited number of parking spaces available.
Hop on the shuttle downtown at Norby’s, which is across the street and to the east of Washington Square Mall.
