DL doctor elected VP of optometric group
Dr. Larry Morrison has been elected vice president of the Minnesota Optometric Association at its Annual Meeting Awards Banquet in Minneapolis recently.
Morrison practices with his son, Dr. Michael A. Morrison and Dr. Becky McIlonie at Morrison Eye Care, Detroit Lakes and Mahnomen.
He continues his distinguished career in optometry, including ongoing leadership in the MOA.
Morrison has most recently served as treasurer of the statewide organization, and has been a board member since 2007. He is a past president of the Northwest Optometric Association, and past president of the Minnesota Board of Optometry.
He is also a board member of the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity Minnesota Chapter, and has been a volunteer optometrist with VOSH trips to Guyana, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Jamaica, Tanzania, the Ukraine and the Philippines.
Morrison received his bachelor of science degree in biology at Minnesota State University- Moorhead, and his doctor of optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. He is a resident of Detroit Lakes.
