DL man injured in rollover
The following items were taken from reports at the Detroit Lakes Police Department and Becker County Sheriff's Office:
Friday, Nov. 30
At 2:28 p.m. the theft of a brown leather wallet was reported from the girls locker room at the Detroit Lakes High School.
At 3:31 p.m. the theft of a purse from a motor vehicle was reported near Rossman School.
At 10:45 p.m. Audubon firefighters responded to smoke in a residence on the 25000 bloc of Brandy Lake Boulevard. They were there for about half an hour.
Saturday, Dec. 1
At 8:11 a.m. a man attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at a business on Washington Avenue.
Sunday, Dec. 2
At 3:20 p.m. the theft of a motor vehicle was reported on the 500 block of East Main. The vehicle was stolen sometime after Nov. 12.
At 5:52 p.m. motel employees on the 800 block of Highway 10 East reported that counterfeit currency was found in a room that had been rented the previous night.
Monday, Dec. 3
At 7:49 a.m. the Osage convenience center reported the theft of approximately $1,000 in gasoline from their pumps over the past month.
At 3:33 p.m. the theft of a bicycle was reported from the DL Community Center. The black and gray Fuji mountain bike had been left there unlocked over the weekend.
At 3:33 p.m. a resident on the 400 block of Birch in Frazee reported that someone had cut the cord on outdoor Christmas lights.
Tuesday, Dec. 4
At 8:34 a.m. a resident on the 300 block of Grant Street requested extra police patrols. There has been a lot of strange activity there at night, he said, including numerous cigarette butts around his pickup truck, the theft from a vehicle parked there, and broken shed windows.
At 8:39 a.m. a domestic disturbance and possible criminal sexual conduct were reported at a residence on the 200 block of Heights Ridge Lane in Detroit Lakes.
At 2:23 p.m. a tire was found slashed on a vehicle left parked for a few hours at People Park.
At 9:17 a.m. the theft of a purse was reported at Walmart.
Wednesday, Dec. 5
At 2:07 a.m. a four-door Grand Am with Iowa license plates was reported stolen from the vicinity of Zorbaz.
At 7:43 a.m. a one-vehicle rollover was reported on Moe Lake Road off County Road 15. There were no apparent injuries.
At 8:59 a.m. an abandoned vehicle was found up against a tree in the South Cormorant Lake Road and County Road 5 area.
At 3:20 p.m. a Shell Lake Township man reported the theft of two antique pistols from his home, which occurred after a man came to the house on the 41000 block of County Road 126 "to do a survey on the people who lived there."
At 5:39 p.m. the theft of a Stihl chainsaw and possibly other items was reported by a resident on the 13000 block of 340th Street in Walworth Township.
Thursday, Dec. 6
At 11:32 a.m. alleged child maltreatment was reported on the 500 block of State Street West.
At 9:48 p.m. a one-vehicle rollover on County Road 29 left one man with minor injuries.
Arlan Ray Bergquist, 45, of Detroit Lakes was transported by ambulance to Essentia St. Mary's Hospital with minor injuries, according to the Becker County Sheriff's Office.
The 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee he was driving overturned in the west ditch of County Road 29, just south of 120th Street, about a mile north of Frazee. He was alone in the vehicle.
At 9:48 p.m. a resident on the 19000 block of County Road 21 in Detroit Township reported a car took out part of a fence and some trees along his driveway.
Friday, Dec. 7
At 7:15 a.m. a vehicle hit horses on County Road 46 about two miles west of the Hubbard County line near Goldenrod in Savannah Township. Nobody in the vehicle was hurt.
At 10:38 a.m. a resident on North Buffalo Lake Road near Richwood reported a break-in and the theft of a Remington 1100 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun. The 28-inch shotgun has a blue barrel with a rib down the top and a sight on the end.
