DL man sentenced to prison for selling drugs
A Detroit Lakes man was sentenced to 67 months in prison last week in Becker County District Court, on a felony charge of second degree sale of a controlled substance.
Tyler Ray Dewitt, 23 of 1220 8th St. SE, No. 25, Detroit Lakes, was also ordered to pay $210 in court fines and fees from his prison earnings, and to supply a DNA sample.
According to court records, Dewitt sold 3 grams of methamphetamine to a police informant for $500 on Sept. 21, 2012.
The transaction took place in a Detroit Lakes mobile home park.
