DL resident charged with credit card fraud
Tequita Shunta Thomas, 32, of 306 Lake Ave., Detroit Lakes has been charged with felony financial transaction card fraud.
On July 4 a man staying at the Detroit Lakes Holiday Inn used a public computer to print out his plane tickets, then accidentally left his Visa card by the computer.
By the time he realized it was missing, it had been used six times, according to court records.
Thomas, a night cleaner at the Holiday Inn, had been on-duty that night, and allegedly used the card to make two purchases, totaling $175, at Wal-Mart and four purchases, totaling $136, at Casey's General Store.
On Thursday, District Judge Lisa Borgen issued a summons for Thomas to appear in court on Aug. 11.
