DL woman charged with credit card fraud
A warrant was issued for the arrest of a Detroit Lakes woman Monday after she failed to show for her first appearance in Becker County District Court on a felony charge of financial transaction card fraud.
Summer Brook Nason, 23, of 1009 Legion Road, Detroit Lakes, is accused of using a stolen debit card to make more than $400 in purchases at a local gas station on Nov. 11.
According to the criminal complaint, Nason allegedly told investigators that she had been given the card by someone else, but admitted that she had signed the receipts for the purchases.
The debit card used for the purchases had been inside a purse that was reported stolen at Central Market in Detroit Lakes earlier that day.
