Donations sought to help animals in Minot shelters

FARGO - Volunteers in North Dakota and Minnesota have teamed up to gather pet supplies and money for the care of the 560 animals currently housed in temporary shelters in Minot.

Those interested in helping out can donate items at Petco and Petsmart in Fargo. Current needs include kitty litter and bedding.

Monetary donations can be made by check and mailed to: First Western Bank, P.O. Box 1090, Minot, N.D., 58702. Include "Souris Valley Animal Shelter Flood Fund" in the memo line. Donations can also be made online at www.svaspets.com.
