Dorothy M. Robinson, 94, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes.
Dorothy was born to John and Violet May (Goodgame) Pike on Oct. 23, 1914 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Dot was blessed with musical talents in both singing and as a pianist, which she shared with others throughout her life. Dot married Henry Plastow on Nov. 3, 1939 in Edmonton, Alberta. Henry passed away Jan. 5, 1980. After his death, Dot moved to Chilliwack, British Columbia. Here she met and married Reverend Ernie Robinson on Dec. 30, 1988. He died July 4, 1994 and Dot then moved to Detroit Lakes.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands; and a sister, Marj Hislop.
Surviving Dot are three children: David Plastow of Mesa, Ariz., Dotty (Marlan) Ramsey of Detroit Lakes and Marilyn (Robert) Halverson of Audubon. Other descendants surviving are 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother, John (Audrey) Pike; and her three sisters: Ruth (Reo) Stenson, Kay Gustavson, and Violet Crane.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at the Assembly of God Church in Detroit Lakes. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Immanuel Cemetery, Audubon.
