Douglas James Dalve, 70, of Detroit Lakes, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Frazee Care Center in Frazee.
Doug, the son of Orin and Thelma (Wallace) Dalve, was born on November 10, 1942 in Ponsford. He attended country schools and public schools in Waubun and Callaway.
Doug was drafted into the United States Army and served in Germany. He was retired from the Becker County Sheriff's Department.
Surviving Doug are his two daughters, Cheryl and Katherine Warren and two grandchildren, Tawny and Nathaniel Warren, all of White Earth; wife of 17 years, Diana (Dick) Dalve and her children and grandchildren, John Heacox of Lisbon, N.D., Jared Heacox and Julie Heacox of West Fargo, Justin Heacox of Honolulu, Hawaii; father-in-law, Harold Dick of Lisbon, N.D., whom Doug was very close to and enjoyed spending time with him; brother, Kenneth Dalve of Shakopee; sister, Ruth Monroe of Detroit Lakes; their respective families and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Doug in death were his parents; sister, Orrine Anderson; and brother, Wallace Dalve.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Englevale, N.D.
