Drowning victim ID'd as 51-year-old Pierz man
The man who drowned in a west-central Minnesota lake Saturday afternoon was identified Sunday night by the Fire Academy of North Dakota.
According to Lt. Coltyn Blotske of the academy, Jim Reardon, 51, of Pierz, Minn., died while scuba diving at Lake Seven, or Scalp Lake, northeast of here.
Reardon, the academy's photographer, and his diving partner were conducting a pre-drill survey of the lake in preparation for an Aug. 18 training session.
