Drum workshop at area libraries
Mark your calendar for the Community Drum Workshop, coming soon to a Lake Agassiz Regional Library near you.
Spirit, a performing and teaching artist, will teach basic hand drumming and percussion techniques while incorporating the life principles of building community, developing individual creativity, and fostering cooperation.
Here is Spirit’s performance schedule:
- Monday, Sept. 8: 1:30 p.m.,Frazee LINK Site; 4 p.m., Lake Park City Center; 7 p.m., Detroit Lakes Public Library
- Tuesday, Sept. 9: 2 p.m., Gonvick LINK Site; 6:30 p.m., Ada Public Library.
- Wednesday, Sept. 10: 10:30 a.m., Moorhead Public Library; 2 p.m., Hendrum LINK Site; 6:30 p.m., Crookston Public Library.
This interactive musical experience will encourage people of all ages to come together, learn, and share the universal language of music. Free admission and open to the public.
