DUI checkpoint planned for Thursday in Fargo
FARGO - Local law enforcement in Fargo has scheduled a driving under the influence checkpoint here for Thursday.
The checkpoint will be the 36th conducted by Fargo police, with 102 arrests made during the previous efforts, according to a news release.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol will help put on the checkpoint, the release said.
The checkpoint's goal is to encourage people planning to consume alcohol to make safe arrangements to get home, the release said.
Extra Fargo officers will patrol the city Thursday to search for impaired drivers through grant funding, the release said.
