The ticket was among items reported stolen Wednesday morning from the Cenex gas station at 1301 E. Ninth St. in Duluth. Police were called there at 5:24 a.m. Wednesday and found that the front doors of the station were forced open and numerous lottery tickets and cigarettes were stolen. An image of the suspect was captured on a store surveillance camera.

At 12:45 p.m., police were called to another Cenex station at 5402 E. Superior St. The clerk there said that a suspect matching the description from the earlier Cenex station burglary was there attempting to redeem a stolen lottery ticket.

Officers arrived and arrested the suspect on preliminary charges of third-degree burglary and lottery fraud.
