Edith B. Rennewanz, 93, of rural Wolf Lake, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at her home, under the care of Hospice.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 18 at David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, with Reverend Brian Erickson officiating.
Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
Edith Bernice Rennewanz was born to Jefferson and Karen (Myran) Aery on November 15, 1920 in Keihl Township, rural Rako, Minn. She spent her younger years on the family farm and, on March 19, 1942 was united in marriage to William Rennewanz in Baudette. The couple made their home on a farm in Height of Land Township, rural Detroit Lakes.
William died in 1999. In 2000, Edith moved to her daughter, LaRae's home in rural Wolf Lake.
Survivors include four daughters, Karen Anderson of Detroit Lakes, Dianna Coolidge of Bastrop. Texas, Lois (Jimmy Taylor) Rennewanz of Prosper, Texas and LaRae (Bret) Anderson of Wolf Lake; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, William, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Opal; three brothers, Kenneth, Gordon and Orville; two sons-in-law, Charles Anderson and Paul Coolidge; and a great grandson, Bryton Pihlstrom.
