ELCA churches are not following God's word
Jesus said that whosoever will confess me to men I will also confess them to my Father which is in Heaven (Matthew 10:32-33). So we are taking a stand to confess to Jesus that we believe in His word. The Bible and His words should not be added to or taken away from (Rev. 22: 18-19). But that is what is happening now in churches that are under the E.L.C.A., and their latest vote to allow same gender relationships to preach in their churches. If they believe that, then they must not believe in the words of the Bible that it is wrong and sinful to live in that kind of a relationship. (Lev. 18:22 and 20:13).
But in the end God will not be fooled by their logic and messing with God's words in the Bible (Rev. 22:18-19), and we won't be either. But what these people are doing is driving a deep wedge between the good people of the congregation and their ministers. God must not be happy with them, but you can be sure that the devil is. God has been guiding us since we quit supporting the church where we went for 30 years, and left. But someday hopefully all ministers in all churches will go back to standing up and studying and preaching the Bible and not just parts to suit today's culture.
