Elorius "Lorey" (Fuhs) Commers, 81, died March 25, 2011 at her home in Plymouth, Minn., on the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord.

We will miss our loving wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend who passed away surrounded by her family and much love. Lorey will always be remembered for her warmth, her sense of humor, and her joyful spirit.

Born on November 25, 1929 in St. Paul, Lorey met life with grace and an open heart, and she is now at peace and celebrating with Jesus.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Edward and Minnie (Johnson) Fuhs, and first husband, James Flynn.

Surviving Lorey are her husband, Richard G. Commers; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and James Schuld; grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, and Laura Schuld; sisters Marinette Emerson and Sonia (Wes) Tessman; and brother, Eugene (Ruth) Fuhs; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Eugene (Jane) Commers, Edward (Kay) Commers, and John (Veronica) Commers; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A mass of Christian burial is set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 30 at the Church of St. Anne, 200 Hamel Rd., Hamel, Minn., with interment in the church cemetery.

Memorial gifts are preferred, to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of Georgetown, P.O. Box 4210, Georgetown, CA 95634, or Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL), 4249 Nicollet Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55409.

Arrangements were entrusted to Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel in Plymouth, Minn.
