Emmanuel promotes Lia, hires Poss
Sandy Lia has assumed the role of director of public relations and community development at Ecumen's Emmanuel Community, and Judy Poss, has joined Ecumen as regional development consultant.
Lia has worked at Emmanuel Community for nearly 30 years. Her new role will include public and customer relations for Emmanuel, in addition to fund development and legislative team coordination on senior services issues.
Most recently Lia managed Emmanuel's Life Enrichment Program. She also developed and directed Emmanuel's Adult Day Services program for 20 years and served as assistant housing manager at The Madison at Emmanuel Community.
"I am privileged to have had so much opportunity and diversity in my work, and I look forward to this new role in serving our customers and helping fulfill our mission of creating home for older adults wherever they choose to live," said Lia.
Poss will focus on developing donor relationships to foster support for Ecumen's innovative work in senior services. Poss recently rejoined Ecumen from Lutheran Social Services. She worked at Ecumen's Lakeshore community in Duluth from 1999 to 2005.
"I've been fortunate to work for such great organizations, and I'm extremely excited to return to Ecumen in helping move forward their vision for changing aging and providing the most innovative senior services."
