The annual Minnesota State Community & Technical College Area Invitational Art Show continues through March 28 at the Waage Fine Arts Center, located on the campus of Minnesota State Community & Technical College in Fergus Falls. Now showing at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center through Saturday, March 29, is an exhibition of the woodcuts, oil paintings, and wildlife sculptures of Fergus Falls native Charles Beck. He is one of the most highly regarded artists working in Minnesota, and this will be his first show at the Cultural Center. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

One of the most celebrated and beloved country-western acts of all time is making a stop in Detroit Lakes. The Top Hat Theatre Performing Arts Series at Ulen-Hitterdal School will present "The Pavarotti of Gospel," Minnesota native Robert Robinson in concert on Saturday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place in the Barry J. Frazee-Vergas Community Education offers a three-night class on stained glass beginning Monday, March 31, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Participants will learn the techniques of cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering. Cost is $85 per person, which includes all the supplies needed to complete a 12-by-12-inch panel plus use of the tools. Instructor is Becky Mitchell and the class will be held in the Frazee High School art room. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required by calling the Community Education office at 334-2525.

The 41st annual Hawley Art Show & Sale is scheduled to take place April 4-6 at the Hawley Community Center. Artists can enter their work on Saturday and Sunday, March 29-30, from 1-5 p.m. Registration fees are $5 per entry for professional and amateur classes and $3 for elementary and high school students, with a limit of three works per artist. Pelican Rapids graduate Bruce Arntson is bringing his hit Nashville show, "The Doyle & Debbie Show," to the Fargo Theatre next month. Tickets go on sale Monday, March 24.
