Expect noise: Detroit Lakes to attempt geese removal
At 6 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Detroit Lakes crews, in collaboration with the DNR, will be attempting to move the nuisance geese from the City Beach. Several methods will be used.
The DNR has provided shell crackers to be used in a shotgun. This will harass but not harm the geese.
A limited amount of loud noise can be expected. The city is expecting to shoot a shotgun two to four times each morning.
