THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. - The family of Gina Anderson, the Thief River Falls woman missing since Oct. 23, has had billboards put up with her photo to quicken public interest in her mysterious case.

Jackie Pagel, Anderson's sister, said Wednesday that two billboards are up, one south of Thief River Falls on state Highway 59, and one in Albany, Minn.

A third billboard will be put up by Newman Signs in Fargo in early August along Interstate 29.

The family is getting help from the billboard companies with the effort, Pagel said; Premiere Signs and Lamar Signs in Minnesota, as well as Newman Signs.

Anderson, 32, last was seen Oct. 23 leaving her house in Thief River Falls, driving away in her bright yellow 2002 Pontiac Sunfire. She left behind her purse, medication needed every day for seizures and her watch. There have been no solid clues or sightings of her or her car since, except one deemed credible by law enforcement of a man who saw her two to three hours after she left her home, driving south out of Thief River Falls. There is no evidence, other than her mysterious disappearance, of foul play and no suspects in the case, investigators say.

In an e-mail to reporters, Pagel said, "It's been over nine months now and we are never going to give up, no matter what."

Her family, including her parents in Thief River Falls, will walk in the Pennington County Fair this summer, handing out candy and child identity cards under "Banners of Gina," Pagel said.

Anyone with information should call the Pennington County Law Enforcement Center at (218) 681-6161.
