Fargo man arrested in early morning stabbing
FARGO - A 21-year-old man who Fargo police believe was involved in an early morning stabbing is under arrest this morning.
Police responded to a report of a stabbing at about 1 a.m. Monday in the 2600 block of 14th Street South, finding a man with minor injuries, said Sgt. Bill Ahlfeldt.
"Basically, they were cuts," he said.
Steven Monson, 21, of Fargo was arrested shortly thereafter, on suspicion of aggravated assault. Monson had the knife police think was used in the stabbing, Ahlfeldt said.
Ahlfeldt said the cause of the altercation is still being investigated. The suspect and the victim live in the neighborhood, but police haven't released the name of the victim, described as a man in his early 20s.
An ongoing investigation prevents the release of other details, Ahlfeldt said.
