Fargo man hurt when car goes off highway

HAWLEY, Minn. - A Fargo man sustained a minor injury when the car he was driving went off Highway 10 near Hawley early today, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

Christopher Ranum, 26, was westbound on Highway 10 at about 2:30 a.m. when he lost control of the 1995 Pontiac and went off the right side of the road, the patrol said.

The car went through a guard cable and came to rest along a body of water, the patrol said.

Ranum was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office and Hawley police and ambulance assisted at the scene.

Alcohol was a factor in the accident, the patrol said.
